SEVEN MUSICIANS UNITE TO KICK-AGAINST-MALARIA WITH ‘S-360 PROJECT' ALBUM
7 Artistes at Stingomania Records to donate Album Royalties and Tour proceeds to Charities fighting against malaria
In an era where entertainment stars are being accused of not been very active in fighting social causes or giving back to the society by contributing to charitable causes, seven artistes from the Stingomania Records label have decided to take a stand and be counted in the fight against malaria as a public service. These charitable gesture on the part of the artistes is fully supported by their Record label itself, who is also donating a part of its revenue from the ‘S-360 PROJECT' album to be launched on Saturday October 17th towards the Kick-Against-Malaria project.
In furtherance of their collective resolve for social responsibility, Stingomania Records and Seven new artistes on its label namely Naturah, Trybson, E-M-X, Aydu Amah, Eazy Lizy, Bhaira And Ovis Tee have all decided to donate income and royalties from their upcoming album titled ‘S-360 PROJECT' and Nationwide Tour towards fighting the scourge of Malaria in Nigeria and to helping provide materials for children homes and hostels to fight malaria. They will use part of the proceeds from the ‘S-360 PROJECT' album sales and royalties to buy malaria fighting materials and equipment for donation to different homes and school children all over the country.
According to Trybson, one of the artistes uniting to Kick Against Malaria, ‘every gesture counts towards fighting the menace of malaria that has claimed the lives of both young and old people all over the country for so many years'. Aydu Amah, the spokes person for the group also pointed out that artistes are in a privileged position and should use their fame and talents to focus public attention on a serious social issues ath scourge of malaria. Aydu said ‘we believe that if more and more musicians and actors agree to take the lead in fighting against malaria, we can mobilize millions of fans to join in the fight to kick against malaria and save thousands, if not millions of lives'. Naturah, the whie haired SHAKARA singer said he also joined the project because according to him the most important responsibility of artistes is to use their clout to mobilize support for worthy causes like the Kick-Against-Malaria project. “We believe that when we start, many other people and stars will join us to make this a national mission for the entertainment industry.?
Ope Banwo, the Chaiman/Ceo of Stingomania Records echoed the sentiments and commitment of the stars to public service with the Kick Against Malaria project. ‘Stardom carries certain responsibilities', Ope Banwo says, ‘To whom much is given, much is expected. As a deliberate policy at Stingomania Records, we encourage all our artistes to be socially relevant and make commitments to give something back to the society that has given them so much'. ‘We strongly support the kick Against Malaria initiative of our stars', he continued, ‘and we will also be donating a part of our profits from the S-360 PROJECT' Album to fighting the problem of malaria in Nigeria'.
As part of its Kick-Against-Malaria project, the 7 Stingomania Stars will join together to do some environmental cleaning at different neighborhoods, visits homes and schools for motherless babies homes, donate malaria fighting tools and also hold a Kick-Against-Malaria Nationwide Tour as part of thir mission to get public and national support for the Kick-Againt-Malaria project.
The S-360 PROJECT Album is expected to be launched on Saturday, October 17th at the Magnolia Hall of the prestigious CITY MALL in Lagos Island. This launching event is part of a double event featuring the official launching of the Stingomania Records Label. This event is expected to feature the Who Is Who of the entertainment industry including all the top movie and music stars as well as top executives and decision makers in the entertainment world. The event will be covered by most media houses including Newspapers, Television, and Radio etc. The Kick-Against-Malaria Nationwide Tour itself will commence in the last week of October.
